Product Warranty
We take pride in the excellent reliability of our products. Every QAMnet product is covered under our standard 3 year warranty, the longest warranty offered in the industry. An extendable warranty package of up to 6 years is now available with an affordable surcharge method. If you have any problems with the functionality of our products due to a manufactured defect during the first three years, we’ll repair or replace the product without further charges.
Warranty, Return, and Repair Policy
General Product Warranty
QAMnet products will be free from defects in material and workmanship, and will meet the specifications stated in this catalog, under normal use and service when correctly installed, operated and maintained. This product warranty is effective for the period of time stated with the purchase of each product, unless otherwise specified in writing to the customer. All lasers and components in each QAMnet product are warranted with the entire product by our warranty policy, regardless of manufacture of the laser or component and its corre- sponding warranty policy.
Warranty Periods
Three-Year Standard Performance Warranty
We provide a three-year guarantee that all of our QAMnet equipment will meet all origi- nally stated performance specifications under normal use and proper handling as described below.
Six-Year Extended Performance Warranty
If requested, we can, with a corresponding surcharge, provide a six-year guarantee that all of the purchased QAMnet equipment will meet originally stated performance specifications under normal use and proper handling as described below.
Warranty Service
If the customer finds any defects in material or workmanship or any failure to meet the specifications, he must notify QAMnet, receive feedback and correspondence concerning the RMA procedure for that particular device, and obtain a Return Material Authorization Number (RMA#) within the warranty period by calling QAMnet’s Returns Department at 602-343-1496, or by visiting our web site at http://www.qamnet.com and corresponding with us through electronic means. The customer must then return the product to QAMnet in proper packaging, freight prepaid, and with a shipping label clearly marked with the RMA#, and QAMnet will either repair or replace it, at QAMnet’s discretion without necessitatingthe approval of the customer. The unit then is typically shipped back to the customer with QAMnet paying the return shipping cost as a courtesy.
Warranty Limitations
The above warranty does not apply to products which are repaired, modified or altered by any party other than QAMnet; are used in conjunction with equipment not provided or authorized by QAMnet; or are subjected to unusual physical, thermal, or electrical stress, improper installation, misuse, abuse, accident or negligence in use, storage, transportation or handling, or tampering; or to products which are considered consumable items or items requiring repair or replacement due to normal wear and tear. On-site warranty repair is not covered under this warranty. QAMnet’s sole liability, and your sole remedy, for breach of this warranty is limited to QAMnet’s repair or replacement of the product (at QAMnet’s sole discretion). The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties. Except as expressively provided herein, QAMnet makes no warranties, either expressed or implied, either in fact or in operation of law, statutory or otherwise. QAMnet expressly disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for particular purpose.
Non-Warranty Repairs
If a product that is not covered by the above warranty needs repairing, we will first provide an estimate of repair charges and then repair the product upon receiving authorization from the customer. Repairs are warranted for three years.
Loaning of Equipment for Demo and RMA Purposes
QAMnet may reserve the right to loan any of its equipment to customers for demonstra- tion purposes. The product is supplied or licensed for beta, evaluation, promotional, testing or demonstration purposes for which QAMnet does not charge a purchase price or license fee. Upon completion of a demonstration or evaluation test period, units must be returned or purchased within 30 days. In either case, the customer must seek a Purchase Order with a number. The customer will receive the terms and agreements for the “loaner” equipment with a specified date for return. With each equipment loaned for purposes of demonstration or evaluation, all prices will be FOB the customer’s warehouse (the customer is responsible for all freight charges). QAMnet will invoice the Customer for the Equipment at the prices in effect at the time of shipment. If the Equipment is returned to QAMnet within the period, the Customer will be credited for the invoiced amount of the Equipment returned. A sales invoice will be generated for payment on any unit not returned within 30 days after the demonstration, evaluation, or RMA period has expired.
Additionally, the product may be exchanged temporarily during the repair of an RMA, see above, for up to one year and must be returned upon QAMnet’s request for exchange. For loaned equipment of delayed RMA repairs, typically the customer will be responsible for one of the shipping costs of the RMA and QAMnet will be responsible for the other way.
In either situation, upon receiving the product, the customer has ten (10) business days from receipt of the equipment to verify working condition. If the equipment is not in working con- dition, the customer will notify QAMnet and request and obtain a return authorization num- ber, RMA, and return the equipment immediately for credit. If notice is not given within ten (10) business days, equipment shall be deemed to be in working condition. If the equip- ment is subjected to unusual physical, thermal, or electrical stress, improper installation, misuse, abuse, accident or negligence in use, storage, transportation or handling, or tamper- ing; or items requiring repair or replacement due to normal wear and tear the customer is responsible for the equipment and will be invoiced the cost of repair upon QAMnet’s receiv- ing of the product. All loaned equipment is subject to the then current version of Optilab’s Terms of Sale at the time of the loan. If you have a separate agreement in effect with Optilab covering the sale of products and services, the terms of that agreement will only apply to those products and services.
